FAQs

Q. Can we put money on the bar so our guests may have some drinks on us?
A. Yes, you can nominate an amount of money that you want to spend on your guests. You may also nominate what type of drinks that you will provide for your guests. Only beer, house wines and soft drinks are allowed. Your guests can purchase any other drinks over the bar and pay for them.

Q. What time can we have the room until?
A. The bar closes at 11.30pm and all music must be stopped at this time. The hotel closes at midnight on Monday to Saturday and 10pm on Sunday.

Q. What about music or videos?
A. Music is played throughout the hotel and the function rooms. If you prefer you may bring your own iPod or CDs to be played. The function room has a large screen projector which can screen videos or DVDs (including photo DVDs). You may also provide your own DJ as long as they are able to abide by our sound laws. Music must be stopped when bar service closes.

Q. Is there a microphone for speeches?
A. Yes, there is a microphone available.

Q. What about food?
A. Our Bistro can provide our usual menu or provide food platters ($70). Our food platters include mini spring rolls, dim sims, chicken satay sticks, wedges etc. Our Bistro will also take other requests if you wish. If you prefer, you may bring your own food along or use a mixture of both ours and yours.

Q. Can we decorate the room?
A. You can decorate the room however you like, although we ask that you do it in such a way as not to mark or remove paint from our walls when the decorations are removed. You must remove all decorations at the end of the night.

Q. Can we have children at the function?
A. No, unfortunately we are not licensed to have under-18s on our premises.
